Bring a story we can investigate.
The press room is an entry point for founders, operators and startup communications teams. A strong submission makes the central claim clear and gives us a way to check it. Choose the format that fits the material so expectations are clear from the beginning.
For a founder profile
Tell us what made the founder start, which decision changed the business and what was difficult about the work. Include names, roles and dates where relevant. A specific customer conversation or failed assumption is often more revealing than a list of achievements. Link to public background and identify who is available for follow-up.
For an announcement
State what changed, when it happened and who is affected. Link to the product or official announcement. Explain any numbers, their measurement period and whether they describe an achieved result or a target. Identify an authorised contact. Do not send confidential material expecting an embargo without first agreeing the arrangement.
For a sponsored collaboration
Explain the audience, topic and purpose of the proposed feature. Scope and pricing need a separate conversation. Paid material must be labelled Sponsored on the article and wherever it is promoted on the site. Commercial interest does not determine independent coverage, and a submission does not reserve publication.
Good questions, clear answers.
Does submitting a press release guarantee coverage?
No. We assess relevance, evidence and reader value. A release supplies background; it does not bypass editorial review. We may need clarification, supporting material or a different angle before deciding whether a story is suitable.
Can you distribute my pitch to other journalists?
The Founderline form is for private review by this publication. It is not a journalist-distribution or mailing-list service. We do not automatically publish or circulate the material you submit.
